Welcome to my website and thanks for taking a look around. A little bit about me…
I was born in San Mateo, California, and have lived in Boston, San Francisco, Hanover NH, Austin TX, Toronto, and now Seattle. I am an itinerant traveler and love exploring new places and encountering different peoples and cultures.
Photography has been a big part of my life since I was a kid. I shot film for years and years, converted to digital in 2001, and have never looked back. I’ve shot all different kinds of camera equipment – enough to know that the gear doesn’t really matter. I strive to create beautiful images – nothing more, nothing less. You won’t find irony or subtext in my pictures, I find that all too affected. Just beauty. What else matters?
About the picture…that’s me and my Bernese Mountain Dog, Baron. That was shot when he was just a pup – he’s now 2 years old. I love animals and volunteer every year for local animal causes, as well as for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. I believe strongly in giving back to your community.
Last thing to know about me? I’m probably one of the least flaky creative people you’ll ever meet. I am a visual artist but know how to drive a spreadsheet and am always on time. Hey, that’s a pretty unique combination of skills in a photographer
