Welcome to my website and thanks for taking a look around. A little bit about me…

I was born in San Mateo, California, and have lived in Boston, San Francisco, Hanover NH, Austin TX, Toronto, and now Seattle. I am an itinerant traveler and love exploring new places and encountering different peoples and cultures.

Photography has been a big part of my life since I was a kid – my first camera was a Kodak Instamatic 110 that I got when I was probably 10 years old and I’ve been taking pictures ever since. I shot film for years and years, converted to digital in 2001, and have never looked back. I’ve shot all different kinds of camera equipment – enough to know that the gear doesn’t really matter. I’ve seen amazing images come out of a point-and-shoot and conversely, a high-end camera does not an artist make.

Last thing to know about me? I’m probably one of the least flaky creative people you’ll ever meet. I am a visual artist but know how to drive a spreadsheet and am always on time. Hey, that’s a pretty unique combination of skills in a photographer
